Day 1 on the road

 Success!! 

One last trip to the house to let the housekeepers in to give the new owners a clean home. Thank you Silvia & Tina for years of help!! Then we picked Knarley up at about 8:45 & we were on the road. North, East, North, East… do you see a pattern here?  Decided to stop about every 2 hours for pee breaks (mostly Knarley!) and food. 

The miles went by, the traffic was bearable & then, cruise controlable. Knarley was a trooper! He finally learned that it was OK to sit down, then take advantage of his bed. So grateful he was a good traveler! Made it to Kingman, AZ right on time. 

Took a couple of walkies, ordered dinner delivered, & had a nightcap. It was a good day!!

Oh, yeah ~ escrow closed just as planned. We are homeless!

My plan is to post an update the morning after our travel days (oh, damn now I have that Maureen McGovern song-from movie that totally scared me-in my head). Anyway, stay tuned.
