Well, the house is listed and we are praying for the right buyer. As part of that, we are holding Open Houses. It feels so strange, having people walk through our home with all of our things there. We haven't sold a home before while we are living there. So, we need to be gone for a good part of the afternoons. This is an opportunity to get Knarley used to longer stretches in the car, since it isn't his favorite place to be. I found an APP called Bring Fido which has listings of dog-friendly restaurants and places to stay. I found our lunch spots there. I know I will use it to help us in the cross country drive.
For the first open house, we drove to San Juan Capistrano for lunch at a great BBQ place ~ Bad to the Bone. As advertised, they had an outdoor shaded patio (it was a hot sunny day) and we had a very tasty lunch. The second open house, we went to Fullerton and ate at Heros Bar & Grill. Oh my goodness ~ I had the best cauliflower crust pepperoni pizza ever! No exaggeration!! I highly recommend it. They have a dog menu and offer water bowls. Such fun. The third, and last (!) open house was on a day we had tickets to the Geffen theater. Knarley spent the day with his friends at Sitting Pretty and we went to WLA. Knarley had his fall photo shoot with Ashley. So cute.
All the open houses and showings were worth it.
We are now in escrow and praying for a smooth ride. Stay tuned!!
