Day 2 - happy Thanksgiving

We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful holiday, no matter how you spent it. We spent the day on Highway 40, cruising along. Again, Knarley did very well in the car. Started off not wanting to get in & shaking, but settled in after about 30 mins. Steve took first driving shift today.

Weather has been cool, partly cloudy skies, and lots of open space!! Minimal traffic, but, oh, if we had counted the number of Prime semi trailers on the road!! Or their containers on all the looong trains. I’m not sure we have enough fingers & toes!

Have to admit, our thanksgiving culinary experience was truly an adventure. McDonald’s for lunch ~ but a small restaurant with literally nothing without a bun or fried! Luckily, I can manage a little gluten, so took the insides out of a Big Mac & ate that. We had hoped for a good New Mexico dinner. But, in this area of Gallup NM, all the Mexican restaurants were closed. The only 2 options were not going to cut it for takeout (Dennys or Cracker Barrel). So I went to a mini mart (think 7-11) for our makeshift dinner!!

Hoping for better tomorrow night!
